Mince Pie ride by Dave and Caroline

Starting from our house, we took cycle route 21 South to Horley then headed West through Meath Green to reach the quiet lanes around Norwood Hill and Charlwood.

Tanhouse Farm provided the morning break, with their sausage rolls particularly recommended (sorry Caroline!). Another cycling club waas also celebrating their Christmas Ride and had set up a brazier in the garden to keep everyone warm.

I had initially planned some easy off-road tracks on the way to our lunch stop at Stonebridge, but as we had enjoyed Tanhouse Farm so much we took a short cut to get there in time.

The pub treated us to an excellent lunch, and afterwards we took a fairly direct route back via Brockham, Betchworth and Reigate.

Caroline then treated us all to some of her excellent cakes.
