11th March - Redhill
After whizzing down hill through Nutfield and passing the entrance to Redhill Aerodrome, we did a loop of Outfield, Smallfield and Horne. We went on the bridleway past Hedgecourt Lake and then another one to Imberhorne, via Gullege.
We had lunch at the Red Rum Café in Lingfield. As it was Mothers Day we wanted to avoid pubs.
Our only mechanical of the day was when Richard and Hilary's chain broke. It was quickly fixed but it allowed us to get our breath back before climbing on to the North Downs and Botley Hill. We were soon back in Godstone. Our final off-road of the day was along the cyclepath back to Redhill, where we enjoyed tea and cakes back at the leaders' house.
We were very lucky with the weather as despite the forecast we kept dry all day. Thanks everyone for an enjoyable day!
